I can’t believe it has been almost 2 weeks since Mayday! Underground. It was such a great time. In the beginning I was feeling a bit insecure about it all, but by the end, my table set-up came together and everything was looking and feeling pulled together. The downside to not having a brick and mortar shop is that, sometimes, when you are working out of your office (that doubles as your bedroom), and you are attempting to create an identity for your business and most of your transactions are happening online and over email and phone calls, it can feel very nebulous. It is nice to have an opportunity to see it all…set up… in a physical reality. It can sometimes feel like this is not all really happening…but doing the show, made it feel like, yes, in fact, it is all happening. Other bonuses of doing the show, I got a lot of positive feedback from the shoppers and that felt really great, and being surrounded by 90 vendors worth of creative energy…that was amazing. I am looking forward to the rest of the shows I have lined up this summer… and already planning on upping the count next summer.
