Yeah, is it really March 12th? no.no. That can’t be. I have been royally slacking over here… but the good news, I have been making things!! Just not the best at getting pictures uploaded, edited and getting posts put together.
So until I get some photos of my most recent creations ready for your viewing pleasure… I thought I would share a little tour of my gals rooms!
I had an orange obsession last year, when we painted Saida’s room and that has morphed into a teal obsession this year as we set up Camille’s. This is also the year we are painting the first floor… and I seriously need an intervention, otherwise, the entire house may end up some shade of blue green.
I really like the mix of new, handmade and thrift finds. Those shoes, her daddy and her papa both wore them at their Christenings.
These curtains and the rug came from Urban Outfitters. I never would have thought to look their for kids room stuff, but I stumbled across them and I am so happy I did. I wanted something bright and playful, but still useful and not overly kiddy, something she could grow into… and I like them so much that I could use these in an office or guest room when she gets old enough to want a change.
I have to say, I really love how Camille’s room turned out. It may be one of my favorite spaces in the house. The color is so relaxing, but still so fun and colorful.
I was thrilled to have an opportunity to make some decor pieces for the nursery. We were moving when we had Saida and then again a year later… so she did not end up with much of a nursery… being more settled this time around I was all about it! The poms were a fun creation to work on in the late stages of pregnancy and the curtian was made with scraps from the frame and fabric wall… this was my first time sewing something to be used! It shows, but I don’t care, i like it! The letters were a fun project too, Saida and I painted away our summer afternoons. Good memories.
Gotta love having designer friends! Thanks Erica!!! here and also now here too! Busy lady and wonderfully talented!
